Next Level Mindset - Bootcamp For Your Consciousness

E3: Game Changer 3.0

An adventure happens when we put effort into something that isn't the easiest way of doing something.

For example, if we work or live in a building and we choose to take the stairs instead of the elevator, we’ve had a simple adventure.

Imagine we decide to always take the stairs and that we get winded every time we do so. That is a bigger adventure because we persevere through an effort and it might make us proud of ourselves.

There was a time when we climbed 2 flights of stairs and got winded. Today, we wonder how far we can push ourselves. As perseverance naturally gets easier the more we expose ourselves to it, we raise the level of our effort so it remains near the cutting edge while still being reasonably comfortable. When we find and remain at the cutting edge, the sweet spot, we will have achieved the adventure of a lifetime and we will know we have lived.

Notice that an adventure of a lifetime is never past tense. When it’s in the past, it was a grand adventure.

An adventure of a lifetime naturally continues for a lifetime. While the greatest moment of the adventure of a lifetime might be in the past, when we continue to put effort into what we do, the adventure continues until the day we die.

Notice, each level of adventure is a change of the game. Instead of taking the elevator, we take the stairs. Instead of taking the stairs once, we do it routinely. Instead of doing it routinely, we see how far we can push ourselves. When we remain at the cutting edge, the sweet spot of performance, we’ve lived. Each time we shift or pivot, we change the game.
